The New York governor, who may run for president in 2020, is asking attendees to pay thousands to rub elbows in East Hampton.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) plans to attend a ritzy fundraiser Saturday in the Hamptons to benefit his 2018 reelection campaign, and potentially a 2020 presidential run.
Hedge funder Barry Rosenstein is hosting Cuomo at his $147 million East Hampton beachfront estate.
Tickets for the “Cocktails and Conversation” event with Cuomo, thrown by the Rosensteins and Zaslavs, range from $5,000 for a mere guest to $10,000 for co-chair and $25,000 to be a chair of the event, which likely includes a private reception and photos with the governor.
The New York Post’s Page Six says showbiz, Wall Street and media elite are expected to attend. Regular guests at past blow-outs included “Oprah Winfrey, Jon Bon Jovi, Martha Stewart, Cuomo and his girlfriend Sandra Lee.”
