“I mean we’ll see what happens, these investigations take time. We shouldn’t be Russian to judgment,” Buscemi joked.
Actor Steve Buscemi failed horribly at delivering a Trump-Russia joke during a rally that was part of the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) “Summer Resistance” tour in New York City on Tuesday.
“Of course there is reason to have hope. One reason I have hope can be explained in four simple words,” Buscemi told the crowd. “Special prosecutor Robert Mueller.”
“I mean, we’ll see what happens. These investigations take time. We shouldn’t be Russian to judgment,” Buscemi joked.
However, no one in the crowd laughed at Buscemi’s joke.
The joke seemed to go over the head of those in attendance, as Buscemi can be heard asking the person behind him if he thought the audience got the joke.
Buscemi then repeated this joke, which this time was met with a light smattering of laughter from the crowd.
