Protestors blocked rush hour traffic in Washington, DC Tuesday evening to voice their objections to the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence.
Protestors blocked the intersection of H Street and 7th Street, a high traffic intersection in the middle of downtown DC known as Chinatown. Located near the Verizon Center, the home of the Washington Capitals and Wizards, traffic was unable to go through the intersection for a sustained period during rush hour.
“No Trump! No KKK! No Fascist USA!” the protestors chanted while standing in the intersection.
Protestors held various signs calling Trump and Pence fascists. One sign depicted the President-elect with a Hitler mustache and in a KKK hood, reading “Mein Trumpf A Thoroughly American Fascist.”
Another sign read, “No! Stop Trump/Pence Fascist Regime.”
And yet another called the Trump administration “Illegitimate” and “Fascist.” Their claims of illegitimacy echo the sentiments recently aired by far-left Democratic politicians.
