Julie Pace, the White House Correspondent for the Associated Press, said that the Democratic candidate for Georgia 6’s Special Election, Jon Ossoff was “attracting an army of volunteers from across the country.”
The Democratic activists flocking to the the suburban, Republican-leaning district included “a lot of celebrities” to turn out support for Ossoff.
Pace called Democrats “desperate” for any kind of win after their spectacular defeat in the 2016 election.
She added that Democrats were looking for an “ego boost” and that they would pour money into the race.
