The liberal senator said that Democrats wouldn’t help Republicans come up with a replacement system.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said on CNN on Sunday that Democrats will not work with congressional Republicans to replace Obamacare if the GOP repeals the law.
CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Sanders about working with Republicans on a replacement after they repealed the law.
“That idea is an absurd idea,” Sanders said.
The liberal firebrand then repeated typical Democratic talking points regarding the repeal of the 2010 health care law.
“Tens of thousands of people every single year will die,” he said of possible repeal.
