Mack McLarty said that the American people deserved better.
Mack McLarty, who served as President Bill Clinton’s chief of staff from 1993 to 1994, said on MSNBC on Monday that Democrats’ message of simply ‘resisting’ Trump would not likely help them win in future elections.
“They’ve got to do more than just be against Trump. That won’t do it, and it shouldn’t do it,” McLarty said.
“The American people deserve better,” he told MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson.
According to a Washington Post/ABC News poll, only 37 percent of Americans said that the Democrats stood for something other than oppsoing Trump.
