On Tuesday, Hillary Clinton surrogate Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe to discuss FBI Director Comey’s letter to Congress, which reopened the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s email practices.
MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski brought up some good points about why FBI Director Comey was conducting himself in such a controversial manner.
“You’re actually reinforcing the premise that there’s something there,” Mika Brzezinski told McCaskill, referring to the growing criticism from leading Clinton surrogates of Comey. “Because this is a man of great integrity, according to everybody who works for Hillary Clinton on down. He’s not partisan.”
Democrats have been relentless attacking FBI Director Comey following his letter to Congress informing them the FBI would be reopening its investigation into Clinton’s email practices. Leading Democrats had nothing but praise for Comey following his July announcement that the FBI would not be pressing charges.
