On Tuesday, music superstar Kanye West arrived at Trump Tower for a meeting with President-elect Donald Trump.
Some might remember that during the 2015 VMAs Kanye West announced that he intended to run for President in 2020. Could Trump possibly be bringing in a potential 2020 rival into his inner circle?
That theory, however, seems unlikely considering that West announced his support for Trump as far back as March of 2016. Following Trump surprising victory, West told fans he supported Trump and even called him a “genius” – a claim that outraged many of his fans and may have prompted him to cancel the rest of his 2016 Saint Pablo tour.
After their meeting, Trump and West posed for pictures with reporters. Trump told reporters that the two talked about life, while West refused to answer questions about a 2020 run, saying, “I just want to take a picture right now.”
