Chelsea Manning’s attorney Nancy Hollander attacked President Trump, telling MSNBC’s Tamron Hall, “We can’t rely on anything he says.”
On Thursday, Chelsea Manning penned an op-ed in the Guardian that was critical of President Obama. Trump responded by tweeting out, “Ungrateful TRAITOR Chelsea Manning, who should never have been released from prison, is now calling President Obama a weak leader. Terrible!”
Hall asked Hollander what she thought of Donald Trump jumping into this debate and coming to the defense of President Obama.
“President Trump misquotes everything,” she responded. “We can’t rely on anything he says, so there’s no reason to rely on this either. We have to stop focusing on President Trump’s tweets and fake news and figure out how we’re going to get this democracy back on track because otherwise, we’re going to lose it.”
