MSNBC’s Chris Matthews claimed that some Republicans enjoy being anti-Hispanic during a conversation about President Trump’s possible immigration compromise with former RNC Chair Michael Steele on Tuesday.
“Do you think that both parties want a deal?” Matthews asked Steele. “Call me a skeptic, but I think a lot of Democrats like the issue of Republicans being SOBs, if you will, on illegal immigrants, and a lot of people on the other side like it. Republicans like it because they just like to be anti-Hispanic.”
Mattehws went on to say that, “it seems to me the solution takes away from the firing power on both sides.”
