President Trump thoroughly enjoyed Director Pompeo’s joke at a cabinet meeting.
CIA Director Mike Pompeo joked at a Cabinet meeting on Monday that he won’t say anything while the media is in the room, a jest that the Cabinet, especially President Trump, enjoyed.
“Mr. President, it’s an honor to serve as your CIA Director. It’s an incredible privilege to lead the men and women who are providing intelligence so that we can do the national security mission,” Pompeo began his comments.
“In the finest tradition of the CIA, I’m not going to say a damn thing in front of the media,” he then said.
The Cabinet laughed at Pompeo’s remarks as the media looked on.
President Trump seemed to particularly enjoy the comment.
