Robby Mook must have forgotten that Bill Clinton met with Attorney General Loretta Lynch on a private plane.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook declared that the Clinton “campaign wasn’t talking to anybody in the Justice Department,” during an interview on CNN following former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony on Thursday.
CNN’s Brooke Baldwin asked Mook about Comey’s claim that President Obama’s Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, asked him to refer to the FBI’s investigation of Clinton’s email practices as a “matter” and not an “investigation.”
“I don’t obviously know what transpired between the two of them. We’ll just have to take the director’s commentary on that,” Mook told Baldwin.
Mook then claimed, “our campaign wasn’t talking to anybody in the Justice Department. We were going off what was being said publicly.”
Mook, in his recounting, carefully omitted the fact that Hillary Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, met with the head of the Justice Department, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, on a private plane in June 2016.
