Clinton Pastor, Who Compared Her Loss to Jesus’ Crucifixion, Plagiarized

NTK Network told you about the pastor who compared Hillary Clinton's loss to Jesus' death on the cross. Turns out the pastor plagiarized that message.

Hillary Clinton’s pastor, who has inspired her to consider preaching and who also compared her loss to the death of Jesus on the cross, is now weathering accusations he plagiarized a passage he sent to Clinton.

Last week, NTK Network told you about the pastor, Rev. Bill Shillady, who wrote an email to Clinton the day after her election loss comparing the ordeal to Jesus’ crucifixion, according to CNN:

For the disciples and Christ’s followers in the first century, Good Friday represented the day that everything fell apart. All was lost. The momentum and hope of a man claiming to be the Son of God, the Messiah who was supposed to change everything, had been executed.

Today, you are experiencing a Friday. Your Friday is what happened in the last few weeks and last night in the tragic loss. But Sunday is coming!

Now, though, CNN has followed up with a report that Shillady may have plagiarized that key passage he sent to Clinton:

Shillady holds the copyright on the book, which includes 11 pages of end notes crediting some source material. But it does not credit one source from which an especially emotional devotion borrowed heavily: a blog post by the Rev. Matthew Deuel, a pastor at Mission Point Community Church in Warsaw, Indiana.

…On Monday, Shillady apologized, saying he was “stunned” by the similarities between his email to Clinton and Deuel’s column. In a text message, Deuel said he and Shillady talked on Monday, and that he had accepted Shillady’s apology.

President Trump attacked Clinton as “crooked” throughout the campaign, but Shillady’s behavior – if he did, indeed, steal from another pastor to inspire Clinton – seems particularly “crooked,” especially for a man of the cloth.
