Clinton Press Sec. Falsely Characterizes Director Comey’s Statements About Clinton’s Emails

Ahead of the first vice presidential debate, Hillary Clinton’s Press Secretary Brian Fallon appeared on Fox News to discuss the state of the race.

Fox News’ Bret Baier asked Fallon if it looked bad that the FBI gave immunity to Cheryl Mills and other Clinton staffers, then the FBI destruction their computers.

“No, here’s why, Bret. This is a matter that was closed back in July,” Fallon told Baier and then proceed to falsely claim that FBI Director Comey said it wasn’t even close to bringing a case against Hillary Clinton.

“Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case,” is actually what Comey told reporters in July.

During a House Judiciary Committee hearing last week, Comey clarified that he never said Hillary Clinton was truthful about her emails.
