Hillary Clinton said in an interview with CNN that she and other Democrats would have considered Harvey Weinstein to be a friend before reports surfaced that Weinstein had been sexually assaulting women for years.
CNN’s Fareed Zakaria asked Clinton if she would have considered the Hollywood producer a friend.
“Yes, I probably would have,” Clinton told Zakaria. “So would so many others. People in Democratic politics for a couple of decades appreciated his help and support.”
Clinton then told Zakaria that the behavior in which Weinstein engaged cannot be tolerated.
