Areva Martin said that O.J. Simpson’s daughter’s defense of her father reminded her of Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) daughter’s remarks about her own.
Areva Martin, a CNN legal analyst, said on Thursday that O.J. Simpson’s daughter’s defense of her father reminded her of Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) daughter’s remarks about her own.
“[Arnelle Simpson’s statements] reminded me so much of what Senator McCain’s daughter has said about her dad,” Martin said.
CNN’s Brooke Baldwin pointed out that “one of them has brain cancer, and the other is convicted of [robbery].”
“O.J. has always been about race, class, and justice,” Martin responded.
McCain was diagnosed with brain cancer Wednesday night, and Simpson went before a parole board on Thursday after serving nine years in prison for robbery.
