A panel on CNN’s Inside Politics Sunday morning said that despite all the criticism Trump has endured over his proposed budget, the budget delivered on the president’s campaign promises.
Perry Bacon from FiveThirtyEight called the presidential budget a “symbolic document.” He added that Trump’s budget showed that the President remains committed to “blow up Washington.”
“This is sort of the manly-man budget,” Bacon said. “So I think it actually fit with some of Trump’s general ideas in terms of a message.”
Margaret Talev of Bloomberg Politics said, “For all the flak that he’s going to take over this, this is actually like a pretty clear and honest representation of what he campaigned on. You got to give them props for that.”
