Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian praised the Republican tax reform plan, on Monday in a written statement obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Bastian released the statement in advance of Congress’ first legislative steps on the matter this week.
Bastian called the tax reform framework “a positive first step that will lead to economic growth and job creation,” in a written statement.
The Republican tax reform plan, which aims to simplify the tax code, reduce the corporate tax rate to 20 percent from 35 percent, and provide tax cuts, was released last week.
“We look forward to seeing tax reform move forward for the benefit of all Americans,” Bastian concluded.
