Mayor Steve Adler (D-Austin) said in an SXSW interview with POLITICO Playbook on Monday that he is “really excited” by President Trump’s plan to spend a trillion dollars on infrastructure.

Adler made clear that no plan had been presented yet “how there’s actually going to be a trillion dollars in spending.”
However, Trump’s proposal has given cities like Austin “great hope,” Adler said.
