Following President Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress, Democratic leadership was quick to get to the airways and bash Trump for the speech. It would appear, though, that some Democratic members of Congress thought Trump delivered an excellent speech.
Rep. Ami Bera (D-CA) said of the speech, “You know, the things that I heard where you saw both Democrats and Republicans standing together were rebuilding our infrastructure, roads, bridges, highways.”
“He challenged Congress to work together, so what I’d say is let’s start on those things where we have some broad agreement and let’s start a conversation and let’s do our job,” Bera concluded.
