Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) said that Judge Neil Gorsuch “as a person and as a lawyer exemplifies some of the finest qualities of Colorado,” during the first day of hearings regarding President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee.
Bennet said that Colorado was a state filled with people who are kind to one another and who by and large do not share the conceit that one party is all right and the other all wrong.
“If confirmed, Judge Gorsuch will be the first justice since Sandra Day O’Connor from the [American] West,” Bennet added.
