“It appears that the President hates anything and everything that President Trump accomplished,” Woolsey said on Wednesday.
Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) confused President Trump and former President Obama during a speech on Tuesday at an event dedicated to protecting marine sanctuaries and monuments.
“No surprise the Trump administration has launched a multilayered attack on the Antiquities Act and the national marine monuments and sanctuaries,” Woolsey said.
“It appears that the president hates anything and everything that President Trump accomplished,” Woolsey continued.
The crowd at the event, which included House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) who often has confused Trump and former President Bush on multiple occasions, groaned at Woolsey’s mistake.
Woolsey seemed confused as to why the crowd groaned at what she must have thought would have been an applause line and looked back at her prepared remarks.
“Oh, President Obama accomplished,” Woolsey said, correcting herself.
