“When you have a party leadership that is out of touch… that’s a real problem for the entire party,” Seth Moulton said during an interview on Tuesday.
Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) on Tuesday said that the Democratic Party is “really out of touch with most of America,” during an interview with NPR’s Robert Siegel.
Siegel asked Moulton what House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) greatest shortcoming is as a leader.
“Look, a lot of the things they say about her are not true, and they’re not fair, but they’re nonetheless effective,” Moulton responded. “I think people look at our party right now as really out of touch with most of America. And when you have a party leadership that is out of touch with the rest of the country, then that’s a real problem for the entire party.”
Siegel followed by asking Moulton if Pelosi was out of touch because she’s from San Francisco.
“Well, some people – some people say that,” Moulton responded.
