House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi falsely claimed that Attorney General Jeff Sessions was the only member of the Senate Armed Service Committee to meet with Russian officials during a Politico forum on Friday.
“My point on this is the media has … called a number of members of the Armed Services Committee and haven’t found anyone yet, in addition to Sessions, who has visited and asked for a meeting by the Russians,” Pelosi told the audience.
“[There are] twenty-six members of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and Sessions is the only person that has met with them,” Politico’s Jake Sherman said, reaffirming Pelosi’s point.
