The California congresswoman has repeatedly called for Trump’s impeachment, despite having no evidence.
Despite calling for President Trump’s impeachment several times, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) admitted Monday that she has not seen any evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. She made the remarks on The Washington Post’s podcast, “Cape Up with Jonathan Capehart.”
Capehart asked Waters, “Have you seen anything, either through intelligence briefings, anything, to back up any of the accusations that you’ve made?”
Waters first attempted to dodge the question by saying that the intelligence agencies had confirmed that Russia hacked the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Clinton officials.
“But the collusion, though?” Capehart asked again.
“No, we have not,” Waters said.
Waters added that the lack of evidence underscores the importance of the investigations into possible connections between the campaign and Russian officials.
