Tom Perez wouldn’t say whether it is the right move for Democrats to be calling for President Trump’s impeachment.
Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Tom Perez dodged when asked about the possibility of impeaching President Trump on Tuesday during an interview on MSNBC.
MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson asked Perez if it was the right move for Democrats to be calling for Trump’s impeachment.
“What we need to get to the bottom of [is] what the president has been involved with. I’ve said that all along, we needed a special counsel. We finally got one,” Perez responded.
“Then you see smoke signals going up saying we don’t like Bob Mueller because he is independent. You have Jeff Sessions who was compromised the day he walked into the Department of Justice, and that saddens me,” Perez said.
Perez concluded by telling Jackson that he thinks Trump is digging himself a hole on the issue of impeachments with all his tweets.
