President-elect Donald Trump held his first press conference on Wednesday since being elected in November. Trump addressed the highly questionable BuzzFeed and CNN reporting regarding Trump’s relationship with Russia.
Trump took aim at the intelligence agencies, saying if they were responsible for this memo, it “would be a tremendous blot on their record if they, in fact, did that – a tremendous blot.”
“A thing like that should have never been written. It should never have been had, and it should certainly never have been released,” Trump went on to say.
“I want to thank a lot of the news organizations. They came out so strongly against that fake news and the fact that it was written about by primarily one group and one television station,” Trump said of news organizations as a whole.
Trump added that he has tremendous respect for the press, and that they have gone up a notch in his book.
