Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) admitted on MSNBC’s Morning Joe that Judge Neil Gorsuch hasn’t done anything to change his view of Gorsuch since he voted for him in 2006.
MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough asked Durbin if Judge Gorsuch deserved an up-or-down vote form the Senate.
“He should have a hearing, and he should meet the voting standard that Supreme Court nominees are held to of 60 votes,” Durbin responded.
NBC’s Willie Geist asked Durbin if something has changed in his view of Gorsuch since 2006, when Durbin voted for Gorsuch.
“No,” Durbin responded going on to say, “when someone moves up to the Supreme Court level, different, important questions are asked, and people are much more careful. That’s the way it ought to be.”
