On Tuesday, top Hillary Clinton surrogate and former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe to discuss FBI Director James Comey’s decision to reopen the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s email practices.
“I think he had to do what he had to do,” Rendell informed MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski. “What he didn’t do, and what he should have done is he should have put a sentence in that letter that says, ‘Look we haven’t had a chance to review these emails. No one should infer anything from this action other than we’re doing our job.'”
