The California senator said that no law could have prevented Stephen Paddock from murdering 59 people.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) told ‘Face the Nation’s John Dickerson on Sunday that no law would have been able to stop Stephen Paddock’s deadly rampage in Las Vegas last week.
“He passed background checks, registering for handguns and other weapons on multiple occasions,” she said.
Paddock did not have a criminal record or known mental illness that would have stopped him from legally purchasing a weapon, Feinstein said earlier.
The Las Vegas gunman used about a dozen rifles to murder 59 people at a concert early last week.
