FLASHBACK: In Sept., Comey Had Not “Seen Anything” That Would Cause Him To Reopen Investigation

Comey said on Friday that new information had led him to reopen the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email practices.

On Friday, James Comey and the FBI dropped a bombshell October surprise on Hillary Clinton by announcing they could re-open the investigation into her email practices.

Early on, NBC’s Pete Williams said there “would have to be pretty dramatic information in these emails to change the previous conclusion.”

William’s point is further driven home by Comey’s testimony to Congress in September, in which he told Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) that he had not “seen anything” that would cause he to re-open the investigation.
