Former Obama National Security Advisor Jim Jones Jr. said, on State of the Union Sunday, that while he would not name his favorite among President Trump’s top NSA candidates, all possessed the “requisite qualifications.”
Jones listed those qualifications as “to be steeped in geopolitics, to be a strategic thinker, and to be able to coordinate the inner agencies in such a way that could be most useful to the president.”
CNN reported Trump’s top choices as being former UN Ambassador John Bolton, former Lt. General Robert Caslen, General H.R. McMaster, and acting NSA Keith Kellogg.
