David Urban, Trump’s Pennsylvania campaign director, said that Ward should end her campaign.
Former Trump State Director in Pennsylvania, David Urban, criticized Arizona Senate candidate Kelli Ward for her comments about Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) recent brain cancer diagnosis in an appearance on CNN on Sunday.
Ward had called for McCain to resign following the diagnosis, calling it an “end of life choice,” and she asked the Arizona governor to appoint her to the seat.
“Kelli Ward should step away as quickly as possible,” Urban said. “That’s a horrific thing to say. She should apologize.”
“Shame on her,” he concluded.
The rest of the CNN panel agreed, with host Jake Tapper calling the comments “awful.”
