Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) could not offer a straight response to direct questions from CNN’s Jake Tapper.
On CNN’s State of the Union, Jake Tapper asked Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) – a prominent Clinton surrogate – whether or not the Clinton Foundation should be shut down after the election due to conflicts of interest.
Tapper specifically pointed to a new report indicating the Clinton Foundation accepted a $1M gift from the Qatari government without notifying the State Department – “an apparent violation of an ethics agreement Hillary Clinton signed when she became Secretary of State in 2009.”
Instead of answering the question, Franken talked about how he did USO tours in Qatar.
