The failed presidential candidate insists that Trump’s effort to follow her around the stage were intimidating.
Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, in an audio excerpt from her new book, called the 2016 election “baffling” and complained about President Trump’s behavior during the second debate.
“I want to pull back the curtain on an experience that was exhilarating, joyful, humbling, infuriating, and just plain baffling,” Clinton said. “I knew that millions of people were counting on me, and I couldn’t bear the idea of letting them down, but I did.”
She also joked about Russian hacking, saying, “If the Russians could hack my subconscious, they’d find a long list.”
Clinton, later in her book, complained about Donald Trump’s conduct throughout the second debate, calling the now-president “looming.” The former secretary of state now questions whether she should have turned and confronted Trump about his propensity to follow her around the stage.
