During Hillary Clinton’s press conference on Tuesday afternoon, a reporter asked about recent comments made by Bill Clinton regarding Obamacare.
“So you’ve got this crazy system where all of a sudden 25 million more people have health care and then the people who are out there busting it, sometimes 60 hours a week, wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half. It’s the craziest thing in the world,” Bill Clinton said at a rally in Flint, MI on Monday.
Hillary Clinton dodged the question and did not repudiate Bill Clinton’s remarks saying, “With respect to the Affordable Care Act, I’ve been saying we’ve got to fix what’s broken and keep what works, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do. I am committed to making sure that people retain coverage that they can afford, and that is going to require taking on premium costs and deductible costs and prescription drug cost.”
