Clinton said she inherited “nothing” from the DNC.
Hillary Clinton slammed the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) election infrastructure at CODECON on Wednesday, while praising the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) data operation.
“So I’m now the nominee of the Democratic Party,” Clinton said, recounting the events of the 2016 election. “I inherit nothing from the Democratic Party.”
“It was bankrupt. It was on the verge of insolvency. Its data was mediocre to poor, non-existent, wrong,” she said.
Clinton forgot to mention the fact that the DNC did its best to guarantee she won the Democratic primary.
After savaging the organization that helped her become the nominee, she praised the RNC’s voter infrastructure.
After the 2012 election loss, the Republicans “raised, best estimates are close to $100 million. They brought in their main vendors. They basically said, ‘We will never be behind the Democrats again,'” Clinton said.
She pointed out that the Republicans used this $100 million to build their voter infrastructure that helped them win in 2016.
“So Trump becomes the nominee and he is basically handed this tried-and-true, effective foundation,” Clinton said of the RNC operation.
