Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus Representative Joe Crowley (D-NY) said at a press conference Tuesday that Democrats had nothing in common with President Trump. However, Crowley added that Democrats would respect the office of the presidency and not stage an organized protest.
“As much as we have nothing in common with the President, we do respect the office of the Presidency,” he said. Crowley, like Trump, is from New York City.
At President Trump’s address Tuesday evening, Crowley promised that Democrats will “be polite, but we’ll show very little enthusiasm.”
