President Trump seems open to negotiating any aspect of the Republican plan to repeal and replace Obamacare.
On Friday, during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, MSNBC’s Mark Halperin asked Trump what parts of the legislation are not negotiable.
Trump evaded the question, electing instead to talk about how earlier in the day he convinced 12 Republican representatives to support the legislation, and how wonderful the legislation will be for the American people once it is enacted.
Halperin quickly followed up by asking again what parts are not negotiable for Trump.
“I’ll tell you after we’re finished,” Trump responded, seeming to suggest that everything is on the table.
