"Arson, guns to the head, this is pretty strong...rhetoric," Rosen told Sen. Murphy.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) was called out by Fox News’ James Rosen for using extremely divisive rhetoric during an interview on Sunday.

Rosen asked Murphy about President Trump’s directive to stop payments of cost-sharing subsidies under Obamacare and why Democrats were opposed to this decision.

“So, this is the equivalent of health care arson. He’s literally setting the entire health care system on fire because the president is upset that the United States Congress won’t pass a repeal bill that is supported by 17 percent of the American public,” Murphy responded.

“The fact of the matter is the president is trying to sabotage the American health care system, trying to put a gun to the head of our constituents by taking away their health care or raising their costs in order to force us to repeal a bill that the American public doesn’t want us to repeal,” Murphy said.

Rosen seemed stunned by Murphy’s answer, telling the senator, “Arson, guns to the head, this is pretty strong medicine in terms of the rhetoric.”

“I remember after Gabby Giffords was shot we wanted to tamp down the use of these imageries and metaphor[s],” Rosen reminded Murphy.
