The San Diego Chargers announced this week that they would be moving to Los Angeles next season, ending a 55-year relationship with the city of San Diego. This move was met with outrage from some San Diegans, who are one of the NFL’s more loyal fan bases.
Fox News’ Jim Gray appeared on Americas Newsroom to discuss the deal, and told Bill Hemmer that San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer should be “shot” for letting the Chargers leave the city.
“Unfortunately this mayor in San Diego, he really should be shot. He did a terrible job in terms of football fans, yes,” Gray told Hemmer.
Faulconer has been mentioned as a possible Republican candidate for governor of California in 2018.
