The West Virginia senator told three separate news organizations about the White House’s ice cream.
In three separate appearances on various news networks on Wednesday morning, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) was supposed to discuss a dinner meeting with President Trump on tax reform, but seemed more enamored with the White House’s ice cream.
Manchin told CBS, CNN, and MSNBC (twice) how great dessert was at the White House.
MSNBC and CBS both asked Manchin if the president got two scoops of ice cream, while everyone else got one. The senator told CBS that the rumor of Trump’s ice cream indulgence was a “misnomer.”
“If [Trump] had two, I was asking for a refill,” he said to MSNBC.
