The former Secretary of State advised Harvard Kennedy School Graduates to learn Russian.
Former Secretary of State and failed presidential candidate John Kerry joked at the Harvard Kennedy School commencement ceremony on Wednesday that graduates should learn Russian if they wanted to work in the Trump White House.
“I’ve been asked what is the secret to having a real impact on government,” Kerry said.
“Well, it’s recently changed. I used to say either run for office or get a degree from the Harvard Kennedy School. With this White House, I’d say, buy Rosetta Stone and learn Russian,” Kerry said.
The Ivy League, Cambridge crowd erupted in laughter and applause at his joke.
He also joked about the unfilled positions in the Trump administration, encouraging graduates to apply.
