John Podesta Claims That Clinton Hasn’t Said Anything In Private That She Doesn’t Say In Public

During an interview on Fox News Sunday, Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta was asked about speeches that Clinton gave to Wall Street that were made public by Wikileaks.

“There is nothing that she has said in private that she doesn’t say in public,” Podesta claimed.

This is an interesting statement by Podesta, considering recently released audio from a fundraiser in February, in which Clinton said of Bernie Sanders supporters:

“They are children of the great recession, and they are living in their parents’ basement. So if you’re feeling that you’re consigned to being a barista, or you know, some other job that doesn’t pay a lot and doesn’t have much of a ladder of opportunity attached to it, then the idea that maybe, just maybe, you could be part of a political revolution is pretty appealing.”

These comments are very different from comments she had made publicly about Sanders and his supporters. Last week, Sanders told Jake Tapper that these comments bothered him.
