Confronted with what the Anti-Defamation League called “disqualifying” remarks about Israel on Face the Nation, DNC Candidate Keith Ellison dismissed the claims as a right-wing smear campaign.

“I’m on this morning to talk about a Muslim ban, not clipped tapes and smears that the right-wing is shooting at me,” Ellison said.

Ellison then bashed President Trump’s executive orders on sanctuary cities.

In 2010, Ellison told a group of supporters that U.S. Middle East policy based on support of Israel did not make any sense.
