Ellison used the violent rhetoric in an interview with the president of the Center for American Progress.
As he closed out an interview with Center for American Progress President Neera Tanden, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) said that the former Hillary Clinton advisor “kills, slays, fights them every single day.”
Ellison was interviewing Tanden as part of the Democrats’ ‘Resistance Summer’ series, and he decided to employ the violent rhetoric as the interview closed.
Tanden is no innocent bystander, as she called for the deterioration of political rhetoric following Democrat Jon Ossoff’s loss in GA-06 on Tuesday night:
One important lesson is that when they go low, going high doesn't f**king work.

The former advisor to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton hi-fived Ellison as he made the remark.
The remark came exactly one week after a shooter targeted GOP members of Congress who were practicing for the annual Congressional Baseball Game.
