Kellyanne Conway Attacks CNN’s Coverage

She called the network’s coverage of the Russia investigation “phony-baloney.”

White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway attacked CNN’s coverage of the Trump presidency in an appearance on “New Day” on Thursday morning.

“You’re talking about the urgency to have a conversation [on gun control]. You and your network have felt an urgency about Russia and some phony-baloney collusion this entire calendar year,” Conway told CNN’s Chris Cuomo.

Cuomo defended CNN’s coverage. “Nobody says its phony-baloney. Nobody who’s investigating it says it’s phony-baloney,” he said.

“Do you have any graphics on bump stocks?” Conway asked. “No, you don’t. You have graphics on Russia. You have graphics on palace intrigue. You have graphics on impeachment.”

Conway then pointed out that Hillary Clinton and Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) have not discussed the legality of bump stocks in the past.

“They probably didn’t know what they were,” Cuomo responded.

“They were probably watching CNN,” Conway shot back, dropping the mic on the CNN anchor.
