Khizr Khan is the Gold Star father that Donald Trump attacked during the 2016 presidential election, and in recent days Khan has come out against Trump’s nominee for attorney general, Jeff Sessions.
MSNBC’s Kate Snow asked Khan, who attended part of Sessions confirmation hearing, if Sessions said anything that caused Khan to change his opinion.
“I was heartened to hear Senator Sessions say … he does not support Muslim ban, Muslims entering United States,” Khan told Snow.
Khan expressed concern that Sessions is already in conflict with Trump.
