…But In 2011 He Fawned Over Donations To The Foundation
During NBC’s Commander-in-Chief Forum, moderator Matt Lauer failed to ask Hillary Clinton about questionable donations to the Clinton Foundation. NBC had had billed the forum as focusing on national security, military affairs, and veterans’ issues.
Some believe that reports of pay-for-play between Clinton’s State Department and the Clinton Foundation jeopardized America’s national security.
It has been reported that Lauer was a “notable past member” of the Clinton Global Initiative. In 2011, Lauer conducted an interview with Bill Clinton about the foundation. Lauer fawned over Bill Clinton’s ability to get people to donate to the foundation, so it’s not surprising that he wouldn’t ask Hillary Clinton about some of those same donations.
