Manchin: The Supreme Court can not operate with only eight members.
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) had a message for his fellow Senate Democrats who are refusing to meet with President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Neil Gorsuch: “sit down and talk to the gentleman.”
Manchin appeared on CNN’s The Situation Room to discuss meeting with Judge Gorsuch last week.
“If you love this country and the democracy we have, and the three branches of equal government, the judiciary cannot operate with eight members of the Supreme Court. It’s as simple as that,” Manchin told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.
